When my mom came to spend a weekend at our home this summer, we went to Jerome on a whim and ended up here. The mine shaft, which used to mine copper, just happened to have the same name as my mother.

This is not the place to go if you are deathly afraid of heights! Over this very deep hole is a "glass" platform, just like the one at the Grand Canyon, which you can stand on! 

You can bet everyone of my children went onto the platform and you can bet they even jumped on it!
